Angela and David | Ritz Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes
Angela and David came to Lisa Stoner Events from New York. They met through their work; Angela is a professional A cappella singer and David is an entrepreneur and sound engineer.
Angela seemed almost exasperated at a design meeting and was struggling to identify her wedding style. She exclaimed “I don’t really know how to articulate what I want to see in the design of my wedding, all I know is that my favorite color is red and my favorite movie is ‘Tangled!’ ”
You see, Angela has a legitimate (and relatable) obsession with Disney, and that was all I needed!!! I think we have our design elements, Rapunzel would be jealous.
Angela chose a beautiful white satin gown with a sweetheart neckline and shimmering gold and crystal embellishments.
The gown was complimented by her full, cascading bridal bouquet of white roses, phalaenopsis and cymbidium orchids and a pop of color with her stunning red pumps.
Her bridesmaids wore knee length red gowns paired with bright red bouquets to infuse more of the red into the design.
David and Angela enjoyed a First Look and some time alone in the beautiful Ritz Carlton gardens, before exchanging their vows.
As the wedding ceremony began David waited for Angela’s arrival with an ear to ear smile on his face.
The aisle to the Wedding Gazebo was lined with large antique lanterns and touches of red and white flowers. The gazebo was draped in a soft grey, sheer fabric allowing the stunning floral chandelier to be a focal point behind the couple.
The Florida sunset behind their outdoor ceremony could not have created a more beautiful backdrop.
Guests enjoyed a relaxing cocktail reception on the resort’s Tuscany Terrace.
The ballroom was ready for an exciting reveal and was draped in twinkling lights on the ceiling. In the center was a communal head table that formed a square that seated nearly thirty people. A tree with cascading orchids and over one hundred pillar candles filled the space in the center of the tables.
The guest tables were set along the softly draped walls and also had trees in the center filled with flowers and flickering candles. A formal place setting with a gold rimmed charger and custom menu card in red lettering completed the tablescapes.
Angela and David’s smooth, white butter cream, five-tiered wedding cake was adorned with cream, blush and pink roses that flowed down the cake and was set against a wall of lights.
The band kept the dancefloor filled the entire evening and they enjoyed some sweet treats and fun snacks while they danced the night away.
Thank you to all of the vendors who brought this fairytale wedding to life!

It is one thing to appreciate a wedding, celebration and moments through beautiful imagery, but it is quite another to see these moments moving, breathing and experiencing…
Real couple Melissa and Luke were not only stunning in the imagery from my editorial shoot from my previous blog post, “A Perfect Storm,” but they are utterly captivating here in this short film by Jeffrey Stoner from the day as it unfolded.
I don’t know about you, but this video left me feeling starry-eyed and hopeful.
Love does that to you!

Lisa Stoner Events was recently selected by Be Inspired PR to design a wedding editorial for them in Florida. We love styling editorial shoots because they are the perfect storm.
Editorial wedding shoots are like clicking with that perfect couple while planning their wedding. That chic, stylish couple who connects with you at the beginning of their planning process; they completely trust your design and vendor recommendations. A couple who is open to exciting elements that are playful and truly reflect their personality as a couple.
For this wedding editorial, we traveled to Tampa and selected the Oxford Exchange. This historic space built in 1891 has been lovingly restored, especially the century-old brickwork, a design element that blends the old with the new.
‘Designed in the spirit of human engagement, the Oxford Exchange is a gathering place housing a collection of ideas and experiences under a single roof.’ Everything a love story, a marriage and blending of families showcases.
The blending of old and new continued with the selection of this stunning Romona Keveza textured satin ball gown; perfectly paired with a unique, loose, oversized cascading bridal bouquet of white hydrangea, white mini calla lilies, white roses, dendrobium orchids and scabiosa blooms accented with ferns and lemon leaf.
Imagine your wedding photos on this beautiful staircase, in The Shop or The Bookstore.
The Atrium, Conservatory and Restaurant spaces with their airiness, unique flooring, and exposed brick opened up a wide range of options. Our selection of a long table draped in vintage lace linen, offered the opportunity to add more stylish modern accents.
By blending three unique chair styles, accenting with gold and silver and mixing bright, colorful floral arrangements with globe artichokes we were able to add texture and visual interest to create this luxurious design.
We were able to make the head table stand out by layering a glass charger with vintage porcelain, a satin napkin, and a letterpress menu card under a breathtaking suspended floral chandelier.
Other fashion-forward ideas included showcasing a trio of wedding cakes wrapped in black fondant, accented with gold stenciling, vintage embellishments, and pink sugar paste flowers.
This elegant yet modern look was enhanced by using custom engraved toasting flutes, a fun champagne tower, out of this world welcome gifts for family and friends, and a vintage letterpress invitation ensemble with modern touches.
Thank you to all of the amazing professionals who collaborated with our Lisa Stoner Events team to make our fantasy wedding editorial a colossal success.

Ritz Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes
Katie is a bit of a girly-girl, who wanted a black tie, glamorous, romantic, girly wedding – check, check, check and check!
When someone comes to Lisa Stoner Events and wants a girly and sparkly wedding design, infused with amazing guest experiences, my heart does a little Cha-Cha and we had an instant connection.
The Ritz Carlton Orlando at Grande Lakes set the perfect stage for this Orlando black-tie wedding. The resort’s grand, white column gazebo set against the lake was swagged in soft white fabric that swayed in the evening breeze. Accented with a dazzling crystal chandelier, we marked the entrance with huge urns atop stone columns, overflowing with clusters of white hydrangea, soft full roses, a hint of blush, and accented with seeded eucalyptus.
A small round table under the gazebo held crystal picture frames of family members no longer with us. Crystal candlesticks with white memorial candles and a family heirloom bible for the ceremony scripture readings added a personal touch.
Welcoming guests to an outdoor ceremony with an iced beverage as they arrive is such a beautiful inviting touch.
Dressed in his classic black tuxedo, accented with a simple white rose boutonniere and white pocket square, Rich waited patiently for his bride’s arrival.
He did not have to wait long for his beautiful bride, who made her entrance in a stunning form fitted, drop waist gown with a white a beaded sweetheart neckline and accented with hundreds of shimmering crystals falling into a full, flowing ball gown. A soft, loose, cascading bouquet of white cottage roses was the perfect accent.
The setting Florida sun shimmered across the sparkling chandelier as Katie and Rich exchanged their vows and departed under a shower of fluttering white confetti.
This Ritz Carlton Ballroom with its beautiful stone arch entrances, crystal chandeliers and soft rose-colored silk wall coverings was the perfect setting for a glamorous, feminine wedding reception.
Katie and Rich were in awe as they viewed the ballroom for the first time. Billowing white fabric divided the room into two distinct spaces: dancing and dining.
The first space offered an oversized white dancefloor adjacent to a chic, modern, lounge area with a semi-circular sofa, cocktail tables with luxurious linen, sparkly accents and soft rose-colored lighting.
The dining space was designed with a round table in the center of the space, adorned with a stunning crystal vase topped with a lush full arrangement of white hydrangea and soft blush roses. Radiating from the round table were four long guest tables.
Guests were welcomed to the wedding reception with a flute of champagne and a unique handmade paper scroll with their name and seating assignment.
The tables were set with floor length luxurious white linen and rose gold table runners. Flowing arrangements of blush and white flowers, studded with chunky white candles. The table was accented with gold-rimmed charger plates with custom designed pink and white menu cards with a sparkly crystal embellishment.
Several touching toasts to the bride and groom, a delicious dinner and a scrumptious chocolate sponge cake with chocolate ganache and extra dark chocolate mousse lead to an evening of dancing, ending in a shower of shimmering gold streamers.
Thank you to all of the vendors who made the wedding of Katie’s dreams come to life.

What can I say about this gorgeous couple that hailed from Bermuda to offer me the distinct honor to plan and design their traditional, yet chic white wedding with perhaps a *splash* of color thrown in by yours truly?
I think Stacey’s initial reaction at her ballroom reveal here says it all, no? *wink
But– there was so much more to their wedding than that. It was emotionally, romantically and thoughtfully charged wedding and the design touches were only just a part of that.
Hence, the importance of video!
Pour yourself a glass (or a mug!) and do yourself a favor, and watch these sweet highlights from Stacey and Ricky’s gorgeous wedding day!
