I know I talk a lot about details here, but if you are here and participating in this medium, I am pretty sure you’ll understand where I am coming from…
Weddings are more than “colors” and “themes.” Weddings are a communion, a reverent celebration, a story, (your love story!) and an experience for not only you, but for your family and friends to savor and remember for a lifetime.
The fact that this was Brittany’s sensibility when she met with me for the first time told me everything I needed to know and offered me the perfect charge! She and Barret had been on what I call the “wedding circuit.” So many of their friends and peers are getting married and it seemed as if they were going to a wedding every other month! Through these weddings she and Barret attended, she had seen, heard and tasted what seemed to be everything, and she wanted hers and Barret’s wedding to be signature, just like them! *wink.
First things first; starting the day relaxed and confident is the perfect approach to experiencing all of the beautiful moments that are ahead of you as the day unfolds.
This space here is to give you ample warning (and time to grab some tissues!) as to quite possibly the most emotional Daddy reveal I have ever seen. Now tell me these are not images that will turn into forever mementos!
Recovered yet? Shall I give you a moment? Here’s a sweet Bridesmaids reveal as you gain your composure!
How about a stunning look at Brittany’s processional, a sharp wedding party and some portraits of Brittany and Barret to look at while you take care of that pesky thing in your eye… *wink!
Brittany’s white, lush and romantic bouquet consisted of white garden roses peonies and, my favorite, ranunculus (seriously, I try to sneak them in every wedding that I am able!) against light touches of greenery. The trailing ribbons were soft, feminine and I loved how the bouquet moved with her in that striking Ines DiSanto gown.
I love that these portraits here are the perfect transition from the garden aesthetic from just outside Knowles Chapel to what we created inside the ballroom at The Alfond Inn!
So what sets this wedding apart from the others? Cue the details!
Designing a wedding reception in a ballroom needs particular attention to details that offer those 4 walls life. We opted for these tall centerpieces with cascading greenery and candles on top to offer a romantic and dreamy glow as guests dined.
I loved how the seating directory turned out thanks to Andi Mejia Calligraphy!
This wedding cake was very well deserving of it’s very own backdrop!
I had four custom trellis panels constructed where vines and greenery were interwoven throughout with touches of white florals creating a 10-12 foot canopy over our bars and cake. It was magical!
These chic, marble chargers with gold flatware and the vellum menu card with gold foil, were perfect, minimal, yet chic details-
First Dance, Daddy-Daughter Dance, Mother-Son Dance; give me alllll the dances!!
Brittany and Barret, this is one I shall never soon forget! Your confidence and trust made my “job” so worthwhile, and I loved watching this beautiful day unfold for you!
May you forever wear these same smiles! xx, LS

Not too long ago our Lisa Stoner Events team was asked to plan an Orlando wedding industry event for our colleagues at The Knot.
We chose a “White-Hot” theme and we loved every aspect of it. White really lends itself perfectly to Welcome Receptions and provides for a fun wedding weekend and also to summer events.
Start with a beautiful location; in this case the all-white tented space at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando was the perfect blank canvass for our design. We started with a dramatic entrance feature: a show-stopping white balloon arch combined with lush white greenery.
The next design element was the layout of the space itself. A beautiful white orchid chandelier hung over the dance floor area in the center of the tent. An abundance of modern lounge furniture was spread across the room, providing ample seating for guests.
Our design team incorporated multiple food stations, enticing the guests to sample delicious, lite, bite sized samplings while mingling and dancing. Speaking of dancing, we were sure to bring in an amazing DJ to keep the dance floor packed.
Another element not to be missed was a refreshing signature cocktail, uniquely presented from a feature bar, by our energetic bartenders. The mojitos were refreshing and plentiful.
For some interactive entertainment we drew guests into the party with a vibrant acapella flash mob and a fun photobooth with props.
Last, but certainly not least, we cannot forget about the sweet tooth. Guests were treated to some delicious, miniature sweet treats.
Remember to invite some stylishly dressed guests to help with the authenticity of the theme.
We know your family and friends will have as much fun with a fabulous White-Hot Party as our colleagues did.
Be sure to call our Lisa Stoner Events team to discuss designing your upcoming wedding, milestone family event or corporate gala.

Rose gold because of its pinkish color is known as the metal of romance. While white gold represents friendship and yellow gold means fidelity, rose gold represents love.
In addition, much like the beautiful blending of these two amazing families, copper added to gold actually makes it stronger and gives the gold its rose color.
The blending of these two families actually began at the rehearsal dinner.
Rob grew up all over the world and had one prized possession, and this prized possession moved with him and the family as they traversed the world: this fun, well-loved stuffed animal. In a very touching moment at the rehearsal dinner, Rob’s mother shared this gift with Alexa.
On her wedding day Alexa chose a stunning couture wedding gown by Galia Lahav. This gown inspired by Italian tile was a blending of antique rose lace and a shimmering ivory lace and paired perfectly with her rose gold wedding shoes with a crystal-banded heel.
Alexa carried a beautiful hand tied bridal bouquet of a very unique calla lily in a soft coppery color; in perfect contrast to her wedding party who wore soft shadowy grey gowns, carrying white bouquets with soft touches of Dusty Miller.
Rob chose a classic custom tailored, European inspired tuxedo with a satin shawl collar, accented with a simple calla lily from Alexa’s bridal bouquet.
Alexa and Rob exchanged their wedding vows, surrounded by family and friends, under a breathtaking cascade of cream and blush colored flowers and soft billowing fabric.
Their luxurious wedding reception in the Ritz Carlton’s ballroom continued to blend family and friends. Soft accent lighting reflected off flowing cream colored draping produced a shimmering glow throughout the room.
Guests dined under crystal chandeliers and an awe-inspiring floral chandelier was the focal point in the center of the room. Long guest tables, designed for interaction, were adorned with mirrored panels, soft gold toned glass vases overflowing with soft white hydrangea and blush roses, and floating candles.
Layering the tables with textured blush dupioni silk linen, gold-rimmed glass charger plates and round, custom designed menu cards completed this warm, romantic design.

Greenery is the symbol of new beginnings and incorporating lush green foliage sets a stunningly modern, fresh backdrop to Maureen and Tim’s Ritz Carlton, Grand Lakes wedding.
Maureen wore a form-fitting modern lace gown with a scalloped sweetheart neckline and illusion back by Canadian wedding gown designer Calla Blanche, known for their luxurious fabrics and incredible silhouettes.
She paired her gown with a Badgley Mischka, peep toe evening shoe with a crystal embellished heel. A soft, round, hand-tied bouquet with creamy cottage roses, white roses with seeded eucalyptus with greenery added the perfect touch to a beautiful gown.
Tim wore a very handsome navy vested suit with a soft off-white necktie and pocket square. One of my favorite photos is of Maureen’s bridal bouquet against the background of Tim’s dark suit, it really stands out.
The two met up for a First Look in the resorts Spa Garden, and a little alone time.
They chose to host their outdoor wedding ceremony under the Ritz Carlton’s Gazebo. White garden chairs accented with white tea roses, seeded eucalyptus and English ivy softened the aisle and complimented the thick garlands of greenery adorning the columns of the gazebo.
The beautiful greenery of the distant tree line, headwaters of the Everglades and setting sun painted the perfect backdrop for their Central Florida wedding ceremony.
Their wedding party and photography would not have been complete without a special appearance by this sweet baby, Bucky!
Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the Citrus Garden, a lush garden setting surrounded by palms and Florida citrus trees while we whisked Maureen and Tim away for some time alone and some wedding portraits.
The Plaza Ballroom with its wrought iron chandeliers, silk wall coverings and mirrors provided our Lisa Stoner Events team a neutral pallet to transition the greenery from outside to inside. To design a grand entrance and focal point for guests as they entered the ballroom, we installed off white panels of draping just inside the entrance and added a glass entry table with an oversized urn of cascading greens, flanked by two greenery topiaries.
The ballroom side of the drapery panel was the perfect location to place their four-tiered wedding cake surrounded by a waterfall of greenery.
Placing the head table just beyond the wedding cake offered a stunning backdrop for our couple. Tables were draped with soft white linen and overflowed with crystal cylinders, floating candles, ropes of lush greenery and tall draping arrangements of elegant ruscus and seeded eucalyptus.
Maureen and Tim danced the night away with their guests after opening the dance floor with their First Dance to ‘Stand by Me’ by Florence and the Machine.
Thanks to all the vendors who came together to make this day truly unforgettable!

When Katie and Larry first came to Lisa Stoner Events they wanted a central Florida wedding; black tie optional that was tailored, romantic, elegant and classic. But I also realized they have a great sense of humor and wanted to incorporate that too.
You see, Katie and Larry met on tinder and fully embrace their love story; so the wedding hashtags #loveatfirstswipe and #tinderellamarriestinderfella were perfect for their wedding.
We looked at luxury hotels and various classic styled wedding venues, but Katie always dreamed of having her wedding reception in the home where she grew up. With a view like this, we can certainly see why.
There was only one catch, no one had lived in the home for a few years as her parents had since downsized and put off the task of readying the home to put on the market. Katie’s wedding was the perfect jump start to getting the home ready.
Katie and her bridal party got ready at her parents’ home, she wore a striking white lace mermaid style gown with a sweetheart neckline, cathedral length sheer veil with lace embellishments. Accenting this beautiful gown she carried a lush round bouquet of white roses and luxurious, fragrant gardenias with a full white satin stem wrap. Her wedding party wore deep purple bridesmaid’s gowns and carried bouquets of roses in white and various shades of pink.
