Tehsina and Ghadeer | Ritz Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes
“A smile is always in fashion” is the most perfect quote to describe this fashion forward Orlando multi-cultural wedding celebration.
Seeing Tehsina and Ghandeer smile at each other at their First Look is to know just how much in love they are. They quite literally smile, giggle and look lovingly at each other all the time
An Orlando destination wedding was perfect for this cosmopolitan couple. Tehsina is the biggest Disney fanatic and has been since she and her family traveled here from Canada when she was a little girl. Her family traveled from Canada and England with Ghadeer’s family traveling from New York and the couple traveling from Boston for the wedding planning.
The elements of this chic stylish wedding design reflect Tehsina’s Muslim heritage as well as Ghandeer’s Arabic family background.
Her stunning Oscar de la Renta taffeta gown with fleur sequin and floral lace overlay, an illusion neckline, and three-quarter length sleeve were all beautiful touches for this modest gown.
Tehsina carried a long cascading bouquet of Italian ruscus, white ranunculus and several dozen fragrant stephanotis; the perfect accent to her simple, elegant wedding gown. The best part? It was an exact replica of her mother’s bridal bouquet that Jesus with Raining Roses expertly created. The look on Tehsina’s mother’s face when she (surprise!) first saw the bridal bouquet is what a wedding planner’s dreams are made of!
Even after a First Look and some private time together, Ghadeer, looking smashing in his Tom Ford tuxedo, smiled lovingly as his bride made her entrance escorted by her parents.
Beautiful contemporary arrangements of giant white calla lilies and monstera leaves in tall glass vases filled the aisle to the Ritz Carlton’s gazebo, draped in soft, flowing white fabric.
Modern Lucite boxes topped with geometric cubes and cascading white hydrangea and hanging amaranthus flanked the couple as they exchanged vows.
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the Tuscany Terrace while the newlyweds took a sneak peek at the luxurious, modern reception décor.
Simple black linen allowed the modern metal and glass risers filled with cylinders of floating candles and breathtaking white calla lilies to take center stage. Tall contemporary arrangements connected long guest tables surrounding the custom black and white dancefloor.
The look was completed with gold chairs, gold embellished glass chargers topped with monstera leaves and custom designed menu cards, and a sleek, marble veined wedding cake.
Tehsina and Ghadeer made a grand entrance with a Zaffa, a wedding march of crossed swords, dancing and drums; an ancient Arab tradition.
After an evening of dinner and dancing the newlyweds made their dramatic departure through a shower of sparklers.

Yonna and Jay | The Alfond Inn
Yonna and Jay met later in life; Jay was a widower, and when they found each other, believe it or not, they actually lived on the same street.
They have worked hard to successfully blend two families of grown children and grandchildren to the point where it is nearly impossible to tell whose is whose. A large extended family vacation before the wedding set the tone for the big day to come.
To that end, one of the things of utmost importance, when Yonna and Jay came to Lisa Stoner Events, was to make sure every family member or guest felt included and loved. They did not want a typical wedding reception; they wanted more of a dinner party where two people happened to get married.
Yonna’s gown was custom made by Holly Smith with Tears of Joy Seamstress. Yonna and her sister Star made a number of trips to Miami to source the fabric for this beautiful embellished lace gown.
Jay looked dapper in his classic black tuxedo with bow tie and monogrammed cufflinks.
Family and friends were welcomed with lovely embellished jute tote bags filled with treats and information on the wedding and farewell brunch.
Their First Look was touching, much like our first meeting where they looked lovingly into each other’s eyes, held hands and called each other their Everlasting Love.
Their outdoor wedding ceremony in The Alfond Inn’s Courtyard was held in the round with Yonna and Jay exchanging their vows on a raised platform in the center. The stage for this beautiful downtown Winter Park wedding ceremony was set with clear chivari chairs and oversized white floral arrangements with touches of greenery.
In typical fashion, the couple got a sneak peek of the ballroom décor; but remained in the room to welcome family and friends, rather than making a grand entrance.
For this elegant dinner party, the Alfond’s Ballroom was wrapped in fabric draping and soft warm up lighting and candlelight. Clear glass trumpet vases topped with explosions of white flowers, smaller crystal vases, glass candlesticks and beaded glass chargers lined long family friendly tables.
Yonna and Jay opened the dancefloor with their First Dance to ‘At Last’ and the band kept the dancefloor full throughout the evening. Guests closed out the night with the cutting of the beautiful four tiered wedding cake.
Thank you to all the vendors who helped make this milestone family event such a huge success.

Sarah and Andy | First United Methodist Church | Dr. Phillips Center
Breathtaking weddings are made of details; not just the beautiful details, but when you are truly lucky, the details that are meaningful as well.
Recently, our Lisa Stoner Events team had the pleasure of working with Sarah and Andy to plan their spectacular downtown Orlando wedding.
Their wedding ceremony was held at the historic First Methodist Church of Orlando with its shimmering marble and colorful stain glass altarpieces.
Sarah wore a beautiful Romona Kevesa strapless tulle ball gown with a beaded lace bodice and sweetheart neckline.
For her bouquet, Sarah wanted orchids. As a schoolteacher, the orchids held a strong meaning; her students frequently gave her orchids as gifts. Her beautiful cascading white phalaenopsis bouquet, the perfect accent to her tall slender frame, and was a detail that carried through the entire wedding.
Sarah’s bridal party wore soft pink bridesmaid’s dresses and carried handtied bouquets of off white and antique pink roses, white dendrobium orchids, and a white phalaenopsis from her bouquet.
Andy and his groomsmen chose a classic look, but had a little fun with some uniquely personalized socks.
Another beautiful detail, that went unnoticed by many, was found in both Andy’s boutonniere as well as his mother’s corsage. Included in each of their personal flowers was a small piece of one of his father’s shirts. A silent, personal remembrance as his father had passed away unexpectedly shortly before the wedding.
As guests arrived for the wedding reception at the amazing Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, they enjoyed a little fun during the cocktail reception with personalized cocktail napkins printed with Fun Facts about Sarah and Andy.
To say that Sarah and Andy were speechless after seeing the transformation of their reception venue might be an understatement.
This sleek, modern, almost industrial space with floor to ceiling windows and unparalleled views of downtown Orlando was softened with draping, warm lighting and a color palette of light grey and pink.
A breathtaking chandelier of flowers and soft lights was installed as a focal point over the dancefloor, centering the space. The dancefloor was flanked by a long head table on one side with a soft geometrically patterned linen, clear glass cylinders of candles, silver mercury glass and soft pink and white floral bouquets.
Round guest tables balanced the other side of the dancefloor, draped in light grey linen accented with arrangements of white hydrangea, soft white and pink roses, orchids and dusty miller. Clear glass chargers with silver rims, custom designed menu cards, crystal chivari chairs, and a romantic five-tiered wedding cake of quilting and lace completed the design.

What can I say about this gorgeous couple that hailed from Bermuda to offer me the distinct honor to plan and design their traditional, yet chic white wedding with perhaps a *splash* of color thrown in by yours truly?
I think Stacey’s initial reaction at her ballroom reveal here says it all, no? *wink
But– there was so much more to their wedding than that. It was emotionally, romantically and thoughtfully charged wedding and the design touches were only just a part of that.
Hence, the importance of video!
Pour yourself a glass (or a mug!) and do yourself a favor, and watch these sweet highlights from Stacey and Ricky’s gorgeous wedding day!

Hilary & Rob | Ritz Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes
Hilary and Rob are HUGE University of Florida fans; so much so that when it came time for their engagement photos they arranged for photos alone in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium!
But when it came time for the wedding there were no Gators colors. Hilary wanted the Lisa Stoner Events team to design an all-white décor for the wedding. The bridal party wore white and the guests were also invited to come in white attire.
Hilary started the day with wedding portraits in an all-white Ines DiSanto (Eva) figure flattering mermaid style wedding gown of contemporary lace; accented with a simple crystal embellishments from Solutions Bridal in Orlando. She carried a soft, loose, handtied bouquet of lush white peonies, soft full white roses and white stephanotis with trailing white wavy satin ribbon.
For the beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony at the Ritz Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes, they chose the beautiful outdoor gazebo overlooking the lake, golf course and headwaters of the Florida Everglades. White garden chairs complimented the white gazebo which was adorned with tall glass cylinder vases with single specimen bouquets containing white hydrangea, clusters of white tea roses, lush white peonies, white phalaenopsis orchids as well as huge cymbidium orchids.
The aisle was bordered with beautiful scalloped waves of soft paper flowers in a variety of hues of white, made by Hilary and later repurposed adding dimension to the long guest tables at the reception, making them look oval in shape.
Prior to the start of the ceremony Hillary added a matching A-Line Ines DiSanto (Theia) overskirt with a full train, adding a sheer cathedral length veil for a completely different look; complimenting Rob’s handsome, classic three button black tuxedo with stephanotis boutonniere.
Guest were welcomed to a beautiful wedding reception that carried on the theme of all-white décor and modern lace. Guest tables were overlaid with white lace linen, paired with classic gold rimmed white charger plates with custom menu cards. The menu cards echoed the gold chiavari chairs and gold floral containers wrapped with white satin ribbon and crystal embellishments with white flowers incorporating many of same flowers as the ceremony, with the addition of white larkspur for texture.
The focal point of the wedding was a show stopping paper flower wall we incorporated as a backdrop to display their beautiful four-tier off white wedding cake adorned to reflect the modern lace applique and satin buttons of Hilary’s gown. Placement of their sweetheart table with lush orchid arrangement and custom carved name piece allowed guests the perfect view of the newlyweds, their wedding cake and the flower wall backdrop.
After some time alone, and Hilary’s quick change into a short white scalloped edge dress the couple made a sparkling entrance to dance the night away.
Thanks to all the vendors who came together to make this day truly unforgettable!
